Well, this is the first of 100 drawings for the 100 picture challenge, 005--"Seeking Solace".
EDIT: Solace is defined as comfort in sorrow, misfortune, or trouble. While Jesus was in the garden, he was indeed feeling the weight of what he was about to go through, and he sincerely asked the Father in Luke 22:42, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me…” (Now, if God had done that, I don’t believe Jesus would have had a problem with it, however, the verse goes on) “…yet not my will, but yours be done.” Jesus found solace in knowing that he was doing the Father’s will; he found comfort in it. Whatever the Father wanted was the ultimate satisfaction.
Hebrews 12:2
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Excellent work, I'm faving it as soon as I finish with this comment. Now only is it well-drawn, it fits the pic challenge theme and the message is wonderful, and humbling.
Awesome! may He continue to use your gifts for His kingdom, as He has been doing. thanks, it's one of my favourites too, and it relates to art as well.
